Представлена информация о находке и состоянии популяции редкого вида Spiranthes spiralis в Закарпатьи.
Абстракт (англ.)
Spiranthes spiralis (L.) Chevall. (Orchidaceae Juss.) is a rare plant in Ukraine. It is Euro-Mediterranean species on its northernmost border of a geographical range. S. spiralis is widespread in the Central and Atlantic Europe, Mediterranean region, the Western Transcaucasia, and Asia Minor (Протопопова, 1996). S. spiralis is listed in the Red data book of Ukraine. Until recently, S. spiralis was known only from one confirmed locality in Ukraine, near Dobromyl’ town in Lvivs’ka Region (Хміль, 2006). There were suppositions about the possibility of S. spiralis occurrence in Transcarpathia (Soу, 1969; Собко, 1989). We found a new population of S. spiralis in the Uzhanskiy National Natural Park in Velikobereznyanskiy District of the Transcarpathian Region in September, 2006. This population of S. spiralis is located near Strichava village less than in a kilometer from the border with Slovakia. It is necessary to note that S. spiralis is one of the most late-flowering orchids in Ukraine. It blossoms in September, fructifies in September-October (Протопопова, 1996).
